Life Lessons: The value of being organized

image

It’s amazing how simple experiences can teach you complicated lessons in life.

Today I spent almost 15 minutes untangling the chains of my necklace. Had I spent 20 seconds placing it carefully in my small pouch the day I put it there, I would have been able to use my 15 minutes to converse or reconnect with someone instead.

Sometimes, we opt not to bother putting things in order for we fail to foresee the importance of organization in saving ourselves from future complications of fixing or worrying when things get all tangled up, or worse, lost.

Thankful Tuesdays/Love and Ðreams : Our Prenuptial Photos and Videos

Truth to be told, our prenuptial photos and videos are a few of the things I could say I am really proud of and grateful for. So allow me to make ┬áthis post a cross between the entry series Love and Dreams (All about…well…my love and dreams. haha!) and Thankful Tuesdays (All about things/people/events I am grateful for)

I have two main reasons for this.

1. The concept was a product of our bonding, imagination and creativity as a couple. The whole dream+fairy and farmer theme was something we came up with after stress free talks, We even had a story line! It was so much fun talking about it . It was a much needed break from all the pressure we encountered back then.

2. We were so blessed to work with very good and super talented friends. Each and everyone helped us so much. I believe I owe it to them to share to the world how talented they are. They deserve to be known and applauded. And also, I believe it is never too late to say “Thank you”. =)

And so here are the people and the rest of the details that made that day both lovely and memorable. Do not think twice on contacting them for your own events. =)

Love and Dreams: Summer Engagement Photos

I never really thought I’d have one, I’m not the kind who plans everything. But somehow this photo shoot turned out to be one of the most memorable experiences we have as a couple.

This happened sometime in April 2011. It all started when a friend of Danel told him I’d never use a picture of us together as my profile picture in Facebook. I told him that wasn’t true at all. And then I mentioned I wanted to have an artistically taken photo of us two. I shared all of that with a good friend at the office who happened to be a model with lots of contacts, Mary, And then we had a short talk with another good friend at the office who wanted to practice his photography, Aaron. After Mary found a location and a few clothes from her friend’s online botique, she contacted another professional photographer and a make up artist, She really took care of all the details. It wouldn’t have been close to reality without her. She said I could consider that a birthday gift. It was one of the best gifts I had, really.

And so the pictures below happened. The experience for me was new, exciting, tiring, memorable and magical. I couldn’t be more grateful. ^____^ I’m sharing these in here just so I could keep the memory beautifully in tact. The proposal actually happened a few weeks after the shoot, and that deserves a separate post. Anyway, below are the rest of the details:

Location : Ninoy Aquino Parks and Wildlife, Quezon City Philippines
Creative Director : Mary Anne Tuazon
Photographer : Aaron Medina
Hair and Makeup : Clarins Torrentegui
Clothes : MargaritaDreams Shop and my brother’s closet =)

And finally, some of the photos! pardon the varying quality. Notice how they are very different and very similar. We were a bit (or a lot?) awkward in posing, so it’s an unspeakable miracle how wonderful these tuned out! Enjoy!
